SHE advocates presents “Breakdown to Brilliance” at The Colonial Theatre
In honor of Mental Health Month, tomorrow I’ll be presenting, “Breakdown to Brilliance: Addiction Defused,” a discussion about the linkage between addiction and untreated mental health issues at The Colonial Theatre. Immediately following, a powerhouse lineup of thought leaders will address questions from the audience to offer localized solutions and showcase community support. Leaders set to address the audience during a panel discussion and Q&A session include:
- The Honorable Peter Urscheler, Mayor of Phoenixville
- Chester County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services, Deputy Director, Jamie Johnson, MHS, LPC, CAADC, NAADAC
- Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center Psychologist, Frank Angelini, Ph.D.
- Recovery Centers of America at Devon CEO, Steve Wicke
- Decade to Doorways Administrator, Lauren Campbell
We plan to engage a new generation of leaders about the widely misunderstood and complex issues faced by billions who suffer with behavioral health challenges. Tomorrow I’ll introduce the concept of ‘honoring insanity’ and how we can own labels without being defined by them. Our panel of experts will empower attendees with both the knowledge and resources available to those who need support. Doors open at 11 a.m., my presentation will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. and the panel discussion and Q&A will conclude by 12:30 p.m.
